Memorial Day!!!!
Well today is Memorial Day and we had a busy day out in the yard...  we ended up getting two granny smith apple trees and one pecan tree!!!  While we were out planting the apple trees we noticed  one of the peach trees, the fruit had all died on it....  the second one the fruit is starting to do the same thing so I need to do some research and see what we need to start spraying on our peaches...  The pear tree is loaded and I thinned out the full tree.  I need to check on the plum tree and see how it is coming along.  Last year I believe we had about three plums on it...  I hope it will do better this year.
So we let the baby geese come out of the nesting area and we put the small swimming pool in with them and today they discovered it...  I will have to try to sneak a picture of them!!!  
Well all the chickens and geese are all getting along real well so I guess the door will now stay open and they are all going to mingle together.


This is going to be the last week of school and then we will have about two and a half weeks off....  yeppppppy!!!!!!!!!!

WHAT A FUN NIGHT!!!!!


We had such a nice evening with Jeff and Lindsay tonight!!!  First we went to Ruth's Chris....  that was the best stake I have ever had...  now the lobster bisque was not my favorite....  if we go back I would diffidently get the caesar salad.  We also all shared a creme brulee...  wow!!!!  That was great!!!  Had a taste of grandma's cream pie without the shell!!!
Next we went to the mall and went walking around....  and walked off our dinner.  I love to go window shopping and while at the mall have to go by Zales and get my ring cleaned.  
I love all the smells in bath and body works....  needed some hand soap and got dad a good smelling after shave!!!  Nice that they now have men's stuff now!!!
Dad wanted to get some flip flops and we searched stores and finally found a pair at rack room shoes.  We also found a pair of shoes that are like the Tom shoes...  light and comfortable....


Nothing for mom, night out was good enough!!!!

FINALLY IT'S FRIDAY!!!!


Finally it's Friday and a long weekend.  Well we almost were going to go to the beach for a couple days but there was no room at the inn...  =)  So I guess instead we will work out in the yard and maybe have a lazy day somewhere in the weekend!!!
I am so glad that school is almost out because all the ladies in the kitchen are getting a bit snippy and I think they are all ready for a break....  or maybe they are ready for a break from me!!!
Well my voice is finally back and so I can talk again...  actually I could always talk just no one could tell what I was saying...  =)


So I will take some pics of the yard...  if I can get some before's...  I will do that also!!!

This is so unfair....  Moms are not suppose to get sick!!!  And especially when I can not miss work cause there is no one there that can cover for me.....   




Dad had his second sleep study last night so now we have to wait for the insurance company to get a hold of us to set up a time for them to come set the machine.  Dad is really anxious for this to be over with.  He says that he is so tired of being tired!!!!!  I will keep this posted.... if anyone is interested!!!  =)




Seven more school days left!!!  So excited to not have a schedule!!!!

Today I feel happy and sad......


I am so happy because Krysten and the girls are going to be coming out and spend a little time with us before Sam comes back on June 22!!!  It will be wonderful to see her and the girls again!!!!  She will hopefully be here in time for Daniels graduation which is on May 31!!!!  They have so many students at his high school that graduation is at the Bi Lo center!!!!   Hope we will be able to get a good enough seat to be able to get some pictures!!!!  Otherwise we will take some before and after pics...


Now the sad.....  I am going to be so sad to have Jeff and Lindsay move away next month!!!  We have always live no more than an hour away from each other and now they will be clear across the US from us in Idaho....  =(   This will be really hard....  I will really miss them and the grand kids!!!!  =(.....
We have gotten so use to them being right here at our home that it is going to be way to quiet around here.....  Does anyone out there want to come live with us????????   =(.........

So it has been almost a week later so I decided to go ahead and update this blog....


So today was Daniel's last day of school, he is a high school graduate!!!  Yeah for him!!!


What a tough week at work!!!  I am so glad it is Friday....  And only two weeks to go...   =)


So maybe I will put something on FB so at least someone will be able to enjoy...  well maybe a laugh...  or maybe just a little enjoyment from it!!!


Well maybe not!!!!!   We will just see how long it will take before someone sees this!!!

SO I WAS THINKING......


So I was thinking... since no one ever even looks at this...  I think I am going to only up date this once a week!!!  I mean since no one ever know that I'm even doing this.......  =(


Maybe some day someone will look again and they will be surprised!!!!

MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!


What a nice relaxing mother's day it was....  I even was able to take a 4 hour nap and boy did I need that!!!  It was nice to get a couple phone calls and to get a couple text messages and even a Facebook message from the kids!!!  I love to hear from them!!!!
I got a really cool wind chime with a rocking chair on it!!!!  I love it!!!
I will take a picture of it tomorrow and post it then.


I hope all my daughters and daughter in laws had as great of a day as I did!!!

So I Don't Think Anyone Will Ever See How Good I Have Been!!!!!!!!
So I have been so good and writing on this blog and only I get to enjoy it!!!  Well that's ok with me.
Wow, I am so glad that it is Friday!!!!  I love Saturday's and I get to sleep in till 7:00!!!  What a treat!!!  We have only fourteen more school day left for this school year.  =D


So I think this weekend we are going to work on cleaning out the chicken pen...  We will have to pull out all the old straw and then put out new!!!  It sure will not be fun but will smell a lot better when we are done.  The baby geese are getting so big, I will take some pictures of them tomorrow and download them and post them on here. 
So it is date night and we will probably go to Panera.  I really like to go there because I can eat and not feel uncomfortable and we just discovered Blueberry Frog!!!  I love there coconut yogurt with fresh pineapple and almonds on it!!!!!  YUMMMMY!!!!!!

Almost made it through the week!!!!

Wow....  can't believe that it is almost Friday!!!  And to made it even better....  from now till the end of the school year, every Friday is causal Friday!!  WooHoooooo  that means that we get to wear blue jeans to work and a t-shirt!!!!  So happy!!!!


This school year has gone by so fast.  At least it sure seems like it now.
At the beginning of the year we were happy to just make it through one day!!  Then we were so happy to make it through one week, then one month and now we have almost made it through one full school year!!!
It was sure a lot of HARD work, but now as I reflect back, I love this last year.  Don't get me wrong, it was hard... frustrating.... exhausting..... tried my patience, but now I see that it was all so worth it!!!  I love the culinary program that we embarked on this last year.


You know.... this may be a good place for me to do journal writing!!!  I don't mind typing and the computer will spell check for me and my fingers won't cramp up on me and I think that this will be a good idea!!!!

So I guess I could go on Facebook....

So I was thinking that I could go on facebook and put something like....  "guess who's doing the blog thing"...  but now where would the fun in that be????

So I will just keep putting stuff down and see how long it takes before someone....  anyone....  thinks to look and see if this old mom is ever going to write again on her blog page...  then much to there surprise....  LOOKY   LOOKY  What I have been up to!!!!!

So glad the weekend is almost here!!!  We did get some rain today, at least at work we did!  I assume we did here at home also!!!

So it was just another day at work today...
Everyone was there and all went smooth!  So grateful for all my employees!!!


Well we got the garden started yesterday!!!  I don't think that the cantaloupe will do very good, it kind of looks sad!!!  Maybe we will pick up a couple more.


It sure seems like Thursday today...  maybe it is me just hoping for the weekend to get here sooner!!!  =)


Well we are heading out to get more garden stuff.   Until next time!!!

Jeff and Lindsay blessed Tyler, well Jeff did anyways, so we had a little get together here after church.  Lindsay had stuff for sandwiches... salads.... chips.... and a yummy costco cake!!!  Was a fun day, and now that everyone has gone home....  its nap time!!!   
But before I take my nap, big news bulletin:  Pearl has been booted from the house!!!  We found that during the night, she would get up and sneak out of our room and go down stairs and eat the cats food and who knows what else!!!  So at night we started to put her back into her kennel and last night....  she whined most of the night so she got the boot!!   So from this time forth....  she is out of the house......!!!!!!!  Or until I forgive her!!!!  =)

NEW DAY, NEW POST!!!!


So today I picked up our bountiful basket, which had.. apples, pears, bananas, kiwi, grapefruit, pineapple, tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, zucchini, broccoli, and potatoes.  Good basket today!!!
I go early and volunteer to help put the baskets together, which I enjoy!  I have done this every time except for one time.
So on my way back home I went by the church and dad and Daniel were there waiting for Jaz and I.  We all got in the truck, leaving the van at the church, and went out to Belton/Honea Path for "Hands on Greenville"...  First we started at a youth summer camp, cutting down small trees and clearing brush, loading it all on a huge trailer, twice.  After that we headed out to Greenville to a women's shelter and scraped paint on the outside of the building and painted.  We did all get a really cool t-shirt.   So 3.5 hours later we were heading back to the church to get the van and then heading home...
So now I have tons of laundry to do... vacuuming to do.... kitchen and bathrooms to clean....  and dad wants us all to work in the garden!!!  Not sure I will be able to make that one.  =)

So I'm guessing that no one wants a really cool gift!!!!!!  OK then......  =(

ONE MORE DAY TILL THE WEEKEND!!!


I love Fridays and tomorrow is considered pay day Friday so we get to wear blue jeans!!!!  I love wearing blue jeans!!!  So if anyone would ever read my blog page they would know that I love Fridays at work!!


So was really warm today...  I am sure hoping that this is not an indication of what this summer is going to be like!!!!  If so...  maybe we need to go to a lake or something!!!  Well we will see.

PAPER WORK IS ALL DONE!!!!

Good day at work today, got all my paperwork done and all submitted in!!!  That has to be the one thing that I don't like about my job....  INVENTORY!!!!!!!   There is so much food and supplies in that kitchen... and on the sheet that I have to fill out, it makes no sense!!!!  For instance, if I needed to order pan spray, like pam, it is listed under oil....  ok that kind of makes sense.... but on the inventory....  its listed under coating!!!!  What!!!  I would love to know who the brain surgeon is that put that together!!!  I think over the summer I am going to make my own list and as long as I have the correct number it will be a ton faster!!!

So a couple weeks back, Daniel went to the LDS Senior Prom.  It was clear down in Columbia but he and a friend drove down there.  He said the music wasn't the best, I have heard that one about a million times...  but we did take some pics, so I will add some on to here.  =)

So another day done...  was a better day at work as everyone was there...  I had to get the inventory done and the end of the month paper work done so I spent most of my day in the office on the computer.  Tomorrow I will send off the end of the paper work so it will be a good day!!!  It is staff appreciation week this week.  The PTA had a really nice lunch for everyone today!!!  Was really nice and a real treat.  Can't wait to see what the rest of the week has for us!!!  =)
